Developing World Class Field Hockey in Maryland

Indoor Skills Academy

SPark Skills Academy targets the athlete who wants to learn indoor hockey in a fun and relaxed environment.  This 6-week program focuses solely on skills training and development and is a natural pipeline for players who one day would like to play in our club travel program.

Grades 2-8 attend one training session per week as well as one hour's worth of games each week in our Sunday recreational league.

High School players meet for skills training once a week and are encouraged to register separately to play on their respective high school team in our Monday high school league.

The pace and excitement of indoor field hockey is proven to better develop stick skills, response time, and position awareness - this will translate to better play and more confidence in your outdoor season.  All of the training sessions are designed and led by Jesse Larson, SPark's Technical Director and current US Mens National Indoor team player and his team of dedicated coaches.
